Hannah we loved all our appointments with you in store & loved the alterations you made to your dress. You must pop in to the store when you are next in Mount Hawthorn because I need more of the fabulous conversations you & I had. I miss you popping in! You were so amazing too when Covid disrupted your initial plans. So happy for you that your wedding day was so wonderful.

THE DRESS

What were you looking for in your dress? As a person who usually shies away from people looking at me I wanted something that was elegant, with love AND A SLEEVE!!!!

How many did you try? I went straight to the best after having been told Sam is your lady! I tried on 3 dresses in store before my mum and sister found THE DRESS in a book.

 What did you like about your Samantha Wynne gown? That is was everything I wanted. It made me feel like a princess.

CAN YOU REMEMBER THE MOMENT YOU KNEW IT WAS THE DRESS? When I saw that I had found the ‘unicorn’ I was looking for….boho vibes, with a sleeve, bit different, suited my shape. Bam that’s the one.

HOW DID YOU FIRST MEET?

Work place romance, we met at the water cooler….or photocopier I guess haha. Cam was the new guy at work. I actually thought he was a guitar tutor at first because he had long rock star hair…. turns out he was a science teacher. Our first interaction was at a staff morning tea when I called him a peasant for dipping his party pie in the sauce ‘wrong’ haha

THE PROPOSAL: Well I missed the first proposal….because I was too busy to go on a picnic at our fave spot in Kings Park that day..oops……my second proposal was on a getaway to Melbourne. It was very special and cute, there was a fountain and many tears…

FAVOURITE MOMENT

Favourite moment from your wedding day! Definitely the moments after the ceremony when we got to do out photoshoot with our wedding party. Was really special to share that moment with our closest friends……. It helped that we had THE best in the BIZZ helping us look good….shout out to Jaqueline Van Grootel for doing our photos and Thomas Van Grootel on video.

 We have also had many many compliments and comments on our ceremony. Josh from Marry Me Josh got the vibe JUST RIGHT. It was casual, funny, heartfelt and had audience participation. The icing on the cake was my grandmother being the one to pronounce us husband a wife, a very special touch. My bouquet also had flowers from her garden in it!! She is very special so us both.

 THE VENUE

Was it easy for you to find your venue? With the whole covid debacle we needed to find a new venue at short notice…. Cleaver St and Co came to the party with an amazing warehouse space that was perfect…. Already fitted with rafters of indoor plants, a bar and fridge, all we had to do was find caterers and furniture. Simple!! All our vendors were AMAZING. They really made the place shine! We are still getting compliments about our phenomenal grazing table. Shani is magic.

ADVICE FOR FUTURE BRIDES

What were you really glad you did? Cam and I stayed together the night before the wedding…scandalous I know, but it really helped with the nerves on the day that I had seen him. Do that, break the rules.

Advice for dress shopping? TRUST SAMANTHA AND HER TEAM….They get it and they know!!! Also don’t take too many people with you, too many opinions would get confusing.

Advice for finding vendors? Get many quotes, look for newer businesses and don’t go with someone just because they are popular and on trend. Go for them because you like their style, vibe and attitude!!!

BEST WEDDING SPEND – Polaroids!!! We have so many fun candid shots…paired with a photo album they slip right into found on etsy we have an extra book of memories!
