Our Real Bride Erin

Bridal Inspiration...

This blog is to excite those newly engaged brides to be in Perth and help you start your wedding planning. Being newly engaged is a very exciting time, for every girl.  Bridal trends come & go, but the tulle in Erin's gown is forever a classic, timeless.

Be inspired by our beautiful real bride and her look and style. Wear your hair long and loose, enjoy this romantic wedding as much as we did and please let us know how your wedding planning is going.

We sat Erin down and asked her some very important questions!

Erin, where did you first meet, your husband Scott?

Mullaloo Beach hotel, he bought me a long island ices tea

At what point in time did you know it was love?

After our first date at boost juice I knew it was going to be something really special. He was someone who never stopped smiling; he was affectionate and always made me feel so special every day of the week.

The stories I love most, are the wedding proposal. How did Scott propose to you?

At Crown on our 5 year anniversary. Before the proposal Scott was driving back from work in Busselton and hadn’t found the right moment to ask my dad yet and my dad was on his way to Mandurah so they met on the side of the freeway and asked for his permission to marry me.

When he finally got home we went to Crown and checked in. I was doing my hair while Scott paced around the room so I sent him away to gamble. He came back and asked where I was up to and I said I’m about to do my makeup and he called me out of the bathroom and said he had something for me so I walked around the corner and he was down on one knee and asked me to marry him!

What would be your ultimate dream wedding?

In Positano Italy with all of our family and friends in the summer time so we could drink delicious wine and eat endless amounts of gelato as well as pasta and pizza!

What Date was your Wedding?

29/10/2016, we met on the 29th of August and started dating on the 10th of October so we combined the date we met and the month we started dating to choose our wedding day!

Where did you choose to have your ceremony? The Flour Factory

The Flour Factory is a superb venue. How did you decide on your Reception Décor?

All arranged by Cathrin D'Entremont http://cdweddings.com.au/services/

We used Orielle http://www.orielle.com.au/ for the tables and chairs, my mum made the napkins and table cover for the cake table and dessert buffet table, Natural Art flowers https://www.naturalartflowers.com.au/weddings/ decked out the room with leaves and the twigs hanging from the roof. We then spent up at Ikea to flood the room with candles. Scott and my dad also spent time constructing our seating charts, the box behind us for the ceremony and our table numbers. My favourite part of the set up was our sweet heart table where I got to sit next to my husband only whilst we ate and got to spend time together just the two of us.

On the menu and catering: All done by the flour factory except the dessert buffet that mum and I put together where we had delicious treats for our guests to take home.

Entertainment and music are such an important part of every wedding. What services did you decide on?  Complete DJs,http://www.completedj.com.au/  Our DJ helped light the candles and kept the atmosphere going until 12.30 when we got kicked out because it shut at 12... We just didn’t want to leave

Every guest loves a delicious cake. Cake: Cake Love couture https://www.cakelovecouture.com.au/wedding_page

Favours: Dessert buffet by myself and my mum

Guests: 72 Family and Friends, this was the perfect amount of people. We were able to speak to everyone without it taking up our whole night

Erin, thank you so much for sharing with everyone your suppliers list & I am sure, you have just helped another bride to be, with her wedding inspo!

Until next time,

Love Sam x
