2020 was a challenging season and one that will go down in the history books here at Samantha Wynne headquarters!

It was a challenge to create an entire new collection, with weddings being cancelled and/or postponed, appointments cancelling, we grouped together and as a business we opted to create individual bespoke pieces. Yep, limited editions! We focused on important matters, staying safe, our clients well-being, our own families and most importantly, supporting one another. Our studio was full of hope and making new patterns and concentrating and focusing on the beautiful details on current veil collections, our bespoke headbands. We were more tight knit than ever before. 

What was the outcome for weddings? "Our day was completely us!"

Brides reinventing the way in which they were going to get married. Styling, organizing & doing their weddings, their own way. Brides and Grooms all over are still finding ways to celebrate & unite, even without the entire family being able to be there in person on the day. It may be on a much smaller scale but you are still creating wonderfully magical and unique ceremonies, that are celebrating you, the couple. What I am grateful for is you are all still wanting a dress that gives you the magic you have always dreamed of.

Weddings are much smaller, and you are loving this. Micro weddings in particular in our #realbridebrigade community are proving to be very popular. Your wedding photos and films of your day, are emphasizing the importance of the ceremony. Understandably the size of weddings has had an impact on bridal fashion. 

My brides styling is changing to slim-line and stunning. This might be a very simple cut with an exquisite silk fabric being used, or the focus and attention on the low back, the button detail, the addition of removable straps and skirts. Modern, casual but breathtaking. ULTRA CHIC.

I am not suggesting everyone is changing, there are still a few of you who are choosing larger than life but most of you are embracing a "smaller wedding" and "elopement vibe" with a very simple style. My brides are definitely their own "Stars" for the evening. You are wanting that red-carpet moment & why not! It is after all, all about being Unique & You.

Living in Perth, has been a gift for most of you who intend on marrying Spring 2021 and beyond. You are still looking for a dramatic look or even the second look for your big day, as you enter your reception with limited restrictions on numbers of guests. It's your day to shine.

The option for detachable skirts, detachable sleeves, detachable trains is one to consider when you are in search of your dress. A dress with a stunning feature that shows your personality off and allows you to show two completely different wedding day looks on your wedding day. 

In terms of fabrics, you are all loving our crepes, laces, silks. We have beautiful fabric choices in store for you all. Always remember the cut of your dress should be impeccable, and if your dress has an in built corset it enhances the bride's waist and figure even more. The shaping is amazing!
